I only gave it one star because it’s the only option. This book must have been written by someone with English as a second language and having learned English in Europe. It’s not American English. It uses large words improperly, ends sentences in prepositions, doesn’t use plural form when necessary and does not know the difference between tenses in English. It is almost impossible to understand what the author is trying to say. The book is full of misspelled words and grammatical errors.That being said, I gotta give the author credit for trying to write something in English.
This is an utter scam. The author is an ESL student trying to make money off of reading Jordan Peterson's work. The author is a piggyback marketers who has made grammatical errors on every page. It is a tough read and a most terrible representation of Jordan Peterson's work. I have drawn this flaw to the attention of Amazon who should not be marketing this. They are perpetuating fraud. As the author said in the self publication, "It be stupidity."If you like reading that kind of grammatical construction, buy it and give the summary a 5 star report. But you must know this: Jordan Peterson is an incredible thinker and his work does not deserve to be so distorted in this way.
I found the original book to present some great thoughts on how to live; I read it first. But I personally wanted to collect the key point of the rules; this book definitely helps accomplish that. I enjoy then returning, selectively, to the complete text to support the entire thought and explanation of a topic.
"Better me short reads" (better.me) should be called "Worst short reads." This "summary" of Jordan B. Anderson's book, "12 Rules for Life," appears to simply EXPLOIT a real and important book written by a talented, very knowledgeable author. And the "short read" is unnecessarily hard to read because its perpetrators, while throwing in multisyllabic words, use incomplete sentences, poor grammar, and inappropriate punctuation. Not only is the book hard to read, it doesn't deliver its stated intention to summarize Anderson's book. As stated earlier, I find this a mere EXPLOITATION. Do not reward literary theft.
This alleged "summary" of Jordan Peterson's book appears to have been written by someone who does not understand English, or possibly some less-than-literate computer program. Many of the sentences have no meaning. The publishers, whoever they are, are insulting Jordan Peterson, who I am quite certain never saw or approved of this volume. The publishers are also cheating those of us who paid for this booklet. Amazon should remove it from its offerings.
This is just a summary of the book...shame on me for not catching that in the description. Shame on the publisher for putting out such junk. The language used is as confusing as the output of a second-rate online translation tool. This was incoherently written and has lots of oddball words that undoubtedly were used to convey an image of sophistication (or is the output of an online translation tool). I look forward to reading the actual book, which is supposed to be fantastic.
Awful, poorly written and terrible "summary" of what I'm sure is a great book by Dr. Peterson. I'm loving all the fake 5 star reviews too.
This summary was beyond horrible. Whoever wrote it doesn't even speak English. Much of the language is incomprehensible and does not reflect a lot of the depth, genius and richness of Jordan Peterson. I cannot imagine that he would have approved this and would be embarrassed to see this out there under his name. This was a mistake in order for me as I thought I was ordering the book, not a summary. Don't even bother with this. It's beyond worthless.
